How home perfume will help create housing for those who lost their homes due to war.

The architects from the СO-HATY project, together with the perfume company The Elixir, have created a charitable perfumed diffuser for the home. All profits from its sale will go to support the СO-HATY charity fund, a project that has been creating housing for people who lost their homes due to the war for four years.

The idea came after the founder of a perfume company offered to support the СO-HATY project. To give the perfume a special meaning, the team invited residents of a recently opened housing complex in Kalush to help create it — a former kindergarten that СO-HATY and its partners have renovated and transformed into permanent affordable housing for over 120 displaced people.

While creating the perfume, one of the residents, Ms. Tetyana, could not hold back her tears when she smelled a familiar scent - she remembered her garden with currant bushes and her home. It was these vivid memories of homely smells that inspired the team to come up with the idea for a promotional campaign: to collect people's stories about scents that remind them of home and use them as the basis for a video.

Millions of Ukrainians have lost not only their homes but also their sense of security, stability, and home due to the war. Over the past four years, the KO-HATY Foundation team has learned that the greatest dream of displaced people is to return home to a peaceful life. However, in the fourth year of the full-scale invasion, many of them are still living in temporary shelters or in inadequate conditions.

Over the four years of its activity, the СO-HATY organization has reconstructed ten buildings, transforming them into decent and affordable housing for about 2,000 forcibly displaced people.

The fragrance opens with bright tangerine freshness. Later, notes of sandalwood and cashmere unfold - so the air is filled with velvety warmth.
